Repairs are performed using standard transformer repair
equipment such as hoists, pumps, and filters. The facility is
capable of handling all types of distribution, and small power
transformers, including padmount, and underground
designs.
Lifting capacity is 70,000 pounds.
A seven unit vacuum station for
outgasing transformers prior to final testing, and a
bake out oven for transformer coil/core assemblies is located
within the repair facility.
The plant has its own painting facilities, that utilize a
steam clean phosphate coating process
Coil winding is limited to a physical size of winding up
to 69kV @ 10 MVA.
The machine shop contains a complete line of sheet metal
fabrication equipment.
